FAQs
Are you a Primary Care Physician?
Although Dr. Emily is a medical doctor, she is no longer a PCP. She expects all of her patients to have a PCP for routine visits and urgent matters. She works as a medical consultant, rather than your primary doctor.
What is the purpose of the Membership?
To create an environment of commitment and consistency between Dr. Emily and the patient. This promotes a healing trajectory that allows for course correction as needed to keep the patient headed towards their ultimate goal – better health.
What is the process to become a Member?
You can immediately register for our Health Begins Here program here.
If you’re interested in a higher-level, high-impact membership at a higher price point, you may apply to our Fast Track or First Class options here.
Is Membership required?
Yes. Dr. Emily has carefully created this program to offer transformational care to each member. We do not offer single appointments or testing outside of the membership.
Would I be a good fit for the Membership?
Membership is ideal for those who are:
Ready to invest in their health once and for all
Looking for a better way
Willing to do the work to achieve their health goals
Ready to work on all areas of their life
Membership may not be the best fit for those who are:
Looking for a quick fix, pill, or supplement to change their health
Not willing to work on their lifestyle
Tend to make excuses or blame their health problems on outside circumstances
Not willing to invest their time, money, and effort into supporting their health
What kinds of payments are accepted?
We do not participate with insurance, meaning that our practice is cash pay. HSA or flex spending cards can typically be used with no issues, but it is always best to check with your carrier as we cannot guarantee coverage. Credit cards are accepted.
Why don’t you take Insurance?
Accepting insurance requires the doctor to follow steps that are not always best for the patient and don’t allow the doctor to take the time needed to get to the root cause. Many patients have high deductible plans, so insurance doesn’t reimburse until you’ve met that deductible anyway.
Are you Telehealth?
Yes. All visits with Dr. Emily or her health coach will be virtual – either through video or phone calls.
Does it cost money to cancel my Membership?
There is no cost to cancel the membership; however, when a contract is signed by the patient, then they are expected to fulfill the minimum financial commitment for the time period that they were a member. Certain time frames apply to different memberships.
